The museum is housed in a two storey museum building, which was previously occupied by the Undang (Chieftain) of Rembau. Today, the museum houses a significant collection of the regalia of the Kings and Undangs, old agreements of the states, genealogical records of the local dignitaries as well as clothes, souvenirs, illustrations and photos. These priceless artefacts are displayed in five main exhibition areas, namely the Undang Luak Sungai Ujong, Undang Luak Rembau, Undang Luak Jelebu, Undang Luak Johol and Tunku Besar Tampin galleries.
An antique shotgun displayed in the souvenir section will capture your interest. For a history-buff, the Adat Museum holds a host of memorabilia of the glory of Rembau in its heydays, an influential period in the socio-cultural history of Negeri Sembilan which has shaped the state as we know it today. So make it a point to drop by and brush up on your knowledge of the Adat Perpatin.
The museum is open Monday through Saturday from 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 4pm.
